While you are selecting your tropical fish aquarium, it is not a bad idea to invest in a smaller aquarium that you can use as a quarantine tank in the event that one of your fish gets sick. Separating a sick fish immediately can save the rest of your tank from disease. A 10-gallon tropical fish tank is sufficient for this purpose.
